More Than 40 Motorists Cited For Failing To Yield To Pedestrian In Simi Valley Sting Operation

She was a police decoy in Ventura County who couldn’t have been more obvious.  She was wearing a bright “Wonder Woman” T-Shirt, and carrying a bright “Wonder Woman” purse.

But, more than 40 drivers were cited during a two hour period Saturday because they failed to yield to her in a Simi Valley crosswalk.

The sting operation on Cochran Street was part of an effort to raise awareness about people breaking the law by failing to give the right of way to pedestrians.

As a part of the same campaign, more than three dozen people were cited in Ventura County for texting, or driving while holding a phone.
