Three Ventura County residents are behind bars for what detectives are calling a month long vehicle burglary spree which spanned three counties.
Investigators say David Williams and Jennifer Willard of Ventura, and Korey Cook of Oxnard are responsible for a string of thefts from parked vehicles outside of gyms, and near trails. They say the burglaries occurred in Ojai, Camarillo, Ventura, and Port Hueneme in Ventura County, as well as in Ridgecrest in Kern County, and Malibu in Los Angeles County.
Surveillance camera video led to the identification of the suspects, and their arrest in Ventura. A U-Haul van seen in some of the video was seized, and detective say they found credit cards, driver’s licenses, and other items reported stolen during the burglaries.
