Second Missile Launch In Less Than A Week Planned For Central Coast

The second missile launch in less than a week is set for the Central Coast.

The Air Force announced plans to launch an unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile from Vandenberg Air Force Base sometime between 11 p.m. Thursday, and 5 a.m. Friday.  It’s part of an ongoing series of tests to assess equipment and personnel readiness.  Last Saturday night, a Minuteman III was successfully  launched from the base on a 4200 mile flight to a military test range in the Western Pacific.
