It’s official. The Los Angeles Rams are going to hold their spring practices in Oxnard.
The Oxnard City Council last night approved a contract with the team which will allow the Rams to use the River Ridge facilities from April 18th through June 17th. The Rams will be using the same training facilities the Dallas Cowboys use during the summer. In fact, football fans will remember the Cowboys hosted the Rams for a few days at their summer camp last year.
After expenses, it’s expected that the city could make about $75,000 on the deal.
Spring practices are normally closed to the public, but city officials say the team could potentially hold an open practice, or fan appreciation day.
The Cowboys are set to return to the River Ridge facility this summer.
