Researchers Say El Nino Having Major Impacts On Sea Lions, Fur Seals Off Central, South Coasts

Researchers say we’re seeing yet another impact of a growing El Nino pattern off the Central and South Coasts.

Biologists have been studying California sea lion, and Northern fur seal rookeries in the Channel Islands, and say it appears we could have another huge wave of malnourished and stranded pups.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco has an update on the ongoing story of the crisis facing the young mammals off our coast.
