New Plan Released To Try To Solve Santa Clara River Estuary Water Quality Issues, McGrath State Beach Flooding

A mix of natural and man-made problems has combined to disrupt the Santa Clara River estuary, in Ventura County.

There are threats to fish and wildlife, and a popular campground is often flooded due to fluctuations in water level.

KCLU’S Lance Orozco a new plan proposes controlling the issues by restoring the estuary, as well as moving the campground.
