Cal Poly researchers develop formula to slow browning, improve safety of fresh cut produce

Researchers at a Central Coast university say they’ve come up with a formula which can potentially reduce the amount of produce we waste, as well as making it safer.

It’s a chemical process which not only slows the browning process of cut produce, it inhibits bacterial growth on it.
