Level So Low In Key Santa Barbara County Lake Pumps Being Used To Keep Water Moving To Consumers

Because of the drought, the water level at a Santa Barbara County lake which serves hundreds of thousands of people is only at 21% of normal.

Lake Cachuma’s water level is so low water will soon no longer flow into the gravity fed pipeline which delivers it to customers.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports a multi-million dollar pump system installed to keep the water moving has gone online for the first time.
