Around The Clock Cleanup Underway On Santa Barbara County Oil Spill; New Details Released About Events Before Pipeline Rupture

Crews Working To Clean Up Refugio State Beach

Around the clock cleanup operations are now underway for Tuesday’s major oil pipeline rupture in Santa Barbara County.

Officials now say it may have resulted in a more than 100,000 gallon spill, with possibly 21,000 gallons of oil flowing from the inland pipeline site into the ocean.  Governor Jerry Brown has declared a state of emergency for Santa Barbara County.
