New Study Shows Freeways Impacting Genetic Diversity Of Bobcats In Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area

Some Southern California freeways are having an unexpected impact on parts of the region’s wildlife.

A just release study shows that the 101, and the 405 Freeways are acting as barriers to bobcats, creating genetic differences between populations of the cats on different sides of the freeways.
