As Movie “Selma” Vies For Oscar, Ventura County Couple There For Civil Rights Fight Recalls Historic Events In That City

The final countdown is on for the Academy Awards, and one of the films up for “Best Picture” is “Selma,” the movie based on some key events in the civil right movement.

It’s more than a movie for one Ventura County couple, because they were among the whites who travelled to Selma to fight for equal rights.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco has their story.
