Rock Climbers Used To Help With Efforts To Reopen Closed Section Of PCH In Ventura County

Posted on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 6:55am

A section of the Pacific Coast Highway connecting Ventura, and Los Angeles Counties remains closed this morning, nearly a month after a storm triggered more than a dozen major mud, and rock slides.

While Caltrans has a number of conventional cleanup efforts underway, some rock climbers were enlisted yesterday to try to clear boulders from a rugged hillside which could trigger future closures.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports this morning from the Mugu Rock area.
