Expert On Primates To Speak In Ventura County About Global Chimpanzee Crisis

A Ventura County doctor is doing more than helping people.

Dr. Nancy Merrick is also a nationally noted expert on chimpanzees, and is trying to call attention to the crisis they’re facing globally.

One numbering in the millions a century ago, some experts say there may be only about 150,000 of them now left in the world.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco talks with the researcher, who’s going to give a public lecture in the Conejo Valley this week.
