State Legislature Approves Bills By Conejo Valley Legislator To Improve Efforts To Conserve Water

Posted on Saturday, August 30, 2014 12:25pm

The State Legislature has now approved two bills authored by a Conejo Valley legislator which would improve efforts to conserve water.

SB 985 by Democratic State Senator Fran Pavley of Agoura Hills would call for public facilities like parks and schools to identify ways to capture, and reuse storm water runoff.

And, Pavley’s SB 1036 calls for urban water management planning to include energy considerations in water planning.  Water related energy use uses about 20% of the state’s electricity.
