Posted on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 12:38am

It will sound like there’s a major crisis at a Central Coast high school later today, with the sounds of gunfire, and explosions coming from the campus.  But, all the police activity, and noise at San Luis Obispo High School will be a drill.

The San Luis Obispo Police, and Fire Departments are working with the school’s staff to practice what everyone should do if there is a gunman on campus.

The drill will take place from 12:30, to 3:30 p.m., and in addition to lots of police activity at the high school campus, area residents could hear simulated explosions, and gunfire, along with the school’s fire alarms running for about 15 minutes.
