VA Makes $1.7 Million Dollar Award For Homeless Veterans Services In Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles Counties

Posted on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 12:49am

The VA has awarded $1.7 million dollars to a non-profit group to beef up homeless veterans services in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles Counties.

The money will go to seven programs run through the Salvation Army in the region.

It’s part of a VA goal of ending veterans’ homelessness by 2015.  The federal government is awarding $300 million dollars in grants to private, non-profit groups to help about 115,000 homeless, and at-risk veterans and their families across the country.
