Police Say Man Who Abducted Daughter From Santa Barbara Facing Multiple Charges

Police say a man who abducted his six month old daughter, and was later caught by a SWAT team near San Diego is facing spousal battery, kidnapping, and child endangerment charges.

Nayeli Martinez disappeared from Santa Barbara Sunday night.  Santa Barbara Police issued an Amber Alert, saying Joshua Ivan Martinez had taken his daughter in the wake of a domestic violence incident.

The little girl, and Martinez were located in a mobile home in San Ysidro.  A SWAT team rescued the little girl, and arrested the 28 year old man at around 8 last night.  The girl was unhurt.

Detectives are now moving to extradite Martinez back to Santa Barbara to face charges.
