New Public Safety Training Center On Central Coast To Open To Public This Weekend

A new public safety training facility on the Central Coast is going to open its doors to the public for the first time this weekend.

The Public Safety Training Complex is at Allen Hancock College’s Lompoc Valley Center.

The $38 million dollar complex includes a six story fire training tower, a rescue training area, a shooting range, classrooms, and other related facilities to train firefighters, law enforcement, and other public safety workers.

The center off of Highway 1, just north of Lompoc Airport will be open to the public from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. tomorrow, with tours, exhibits, and public safety equipment on display.
