Monsoonal Moisture Brings Chance Of Showers, Thunderstorms To Central Coast

Posted on Monday, July 14, 2014 1:52pm

It’s unusual to have the term “a chance of showers” in the forecast for July, but a surge of subtropical moisture is bringing us some scattered sprinkles, and even some isolated thunderstorms in the mountains.

We could see some heavy rainfall at times in the mountains, with the potential for flash flooding.

But, for most people on the Central Coast today, the main impact of the subtropical moisture has been muggy conditions.

The chance of thunderstorms is expected to decrease overnight, with temperatures several degrees cooler tomorrow.
