Two Arrested On Burglary Charges Following Break-In At Ventura Non-Profit

Two people are facing burglary, and conspiracy charges after police say they broke into a Ventura non-profit which helps people in need.

Ventura Police received a 911 call around 10:30 last night about a possible burglary underway at the offices of Project Understanding, at Vince Street and Ventura Avenue in Ventura.

Officers spotted two people trying to leave the area with a number of items on a hand cart.

They arrested Matthew Crawford, and Monica Estrada of Ventura after one of the managers of the non-profit identified the items on the hand cart as belonging to Project Understanding.
