No Impacts From 8.0 Alaskan Earthquake Predicted For California Coast

A magnitude 8.0 earthquake which hit Alaska this afternoon led to some tsunami warnings there, but that there are no concerns for the West Coast of the U.S.

The National Tsunami Warning Center says Washington State, Oregon, and California aren’t impacted by the aftermath of the massive quake.

Some people were evacuated along the Alaskan coast as a precaution following the 1:53 p.m. (DST) quake.
