Governor Brown Appoints New Superior Court Judges In Ventura, Santa Barbara Counties

Governor Jerry Brown has filled two Superior Court vacancies in our region, one in Ventura County, and one in Santa Barbara County.

The Governor appointed Rocky Baio of Ojai to fill a Ventura County vacancy.  Baio has been a county Court Commissioner since 2010, and an attorney since 1979.

He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Barbara Lane.

In Santa Barbara County, Michael Carrozzo has been appointed to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Superior Court Judge George Eskin.

Carrozzo has been a Deputy District Attorney with Santa Barbara County since 2007, and before that worked in the U.S. Attorney’s office.

The Santa Barbara man has been an attorney since 1992.
