Central Coast Community Chooses New Deputy City Manager

Posted on Friday, May 30, 2014 2:05pm

A Central Coast community is getting a new Deputy City Manager.

The City of Santa Maria is hiring Andrew Tse for the post.

Tse is currently the Assistant City Manager for the Southern California community of Cypress.

Before that, he worked in various managerial positions with the cities of Seal Beach, Bell Gardens, and Paramount.

He was selected by Santa Maria City Manager Rick Haydon following a nationwide search.

Tse will start his new job on the Central Coast June 30th.

He’s filling the vacancy created by the pending retirement of Alicia Lara, who is stepping down as Deputy City Manager after 15 years with the city.
