New Fund Set Up To Build Farmworker Housing In Ventura County

Posted on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 12:22am

Two non-profit agencies have teamed up to create a new fund to help build affordable housing for farm workers in Ventura County.

The Ventura County Community Foundation, and the Ventura County Housing Trust Fund have established a revolving fund in the county to help with farm worker housing.

Initially, $100,000 will be available for developers who want to build housing specifically for agricultural laborers, and their families.  As developers pay back the loan, the money will then be recycled into other farm worker housing projects.
