An event on the Central Coast over the weekend tried to help veterans in need.
The second annual San Luis Obispo County Veterans Stand Down was intended to help homeless, or at-risk veterans. More than three dozen agencies were on hand at the San Luis Obispo Veterans Memorial Building, providing help for about 200 veterans.
The services ranged from connecting veterans to social services, to getting them new clothes, and haircuts.
There’s been a similar event in Santa Barbara County for the last few years.
