The Springs Brush Fire Burned 24,000 Acres, And Threatened Thousands Of Homes, But Aggresive Firefighting And Adequate Brush Clearance Prevented Loss Of Homes

Public safety officials say with the drought hitting the California Coast hard, we are perhaps seeing the worst ever potential for major brush fires in our region.

Firefighters are trying to call attention to the need for preparedness through an event in Ventura County yesterday, and one in Santa Barbara County today.
