Flying History Visits Ventura, Santa Barbara Counties In Form Of World War Two Era Planes

World War Two Era B-24 (Left) And B-17 Bombers Stop In Ventura, And Santa Barbara Counties As Part Of Tour

The skies above Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties were once filled with the roar of warplanes, as training bases in the region prepared flight crews for combat in World War Two.

Now, some 70 years later, the roars of some of those planes are again being heard, as some of the vintage aircraft are visiting the region, and stirring decades old memories for those who live through the era.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco has the story.
