New State Report Triggers Concern About Pesticide Use Near Schools

Oxnard High School Is One Of Many School Campuses In The Region Adjacent To Agricultural Fields

A new report shows Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties are among the 15 California counties with the most pesticide use near school campuses in the state.

In Ventura County, some community advocates are trying to focus attention on the California Department of Public Health study.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports the advocates are worried, while agricultural officials say because of protections, the campuses are safe.
