Four people were arrested, and three more are still being sought as the result of a gang sweep in Ventura County spearheaded by the Oxnard Police Department.
Oxnard Police, Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies, the FBI, and Ventura County District Attorney’s Office investigators simultaneously served gang released search warrants in Oxnard, El Rio and Camarillo early this morning. Three adults, and one juvenile were arrested on charges ranging from being a felon in the possession of weapons, to parole violations.
The raids were part of a response to a rash of violent crimes in Oxnard.
Police say as a warrant was being served at one of the locations, a two year old child suffered minor injures, and was treated and released at a local hospital.
