Effort To Serve Arrest Warrant On Gang Member in Ventura County Leads To Six Arrests

Posted on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 3:30pm

An effort to arrest a gang member at a Ventura County home led to six arrests on a variety of drug, and weapons charges.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Department deputies went to a home on the 600 block of Main Street in Piru just after 7 a.m. yesterday.  As they approached the home, three men fled from a building behind it, but were caught.  The man they were trying to arrest with the warrant, Pedro Tello, initially refused to surrender, but the 23 year old Fillmore man gave up a short while later.

No one was hurt.
