San Luis Obispo County Supervisors To Consider Drought Declaration

Posted on Friday, March 7, 2014 3:37pm

San Luis Obispo County is expected to declare a drought emergency next week.

The County Board of Supervisors is set to talk about formally making the declaration at the board’s regular Tuesday meeting.

Rainfall is less than half of average in the county so far this season.

Santa Barbara County already declared a drought emergency a few weeks ago.  The declarations open the door to potential state, and federal aid.
