A Central Coast city has selected a new police chief, with plans to promote a department veteran to the top post.
Jake Miller will be Pismo Beach’s new Police Chief, if the decision by Pismo’s city manager is confirmed at the April 1st City Council meeting. Miller will take over the post August 1st. He’s been with the department for 20 years, working his way up through the ranks to Commander, who is the department’s second in command.
He’ll fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Jeff Norton, who is stepping down in July, after three decades in law enforcement.
