American Airlines is restructuring some of its routes as a result of its merger with US Airways, and as a part of the changes will discontinue its Santa Barbara to Los Angeles service.
American currently operates service to and from LAX, in flights which are often used by travelers as connectors to and from other destinations.
However, travelers will still be able to tap into American’s flight network through Santa Barbara Airport’s five American/US Airways flights to Phoenix.
The changes will take effect April 1st. People booked on American after that date through Santa Barbara are being told to call the airline so their reservations can be changed.
