There will soon be changes in some of the fees to use Ventura County parks.
Ventura County Supervisors approved more than a dozen adjustments today.
One of the biggest changes actually doesn’t involve a fee.
Nine campsites at Faria Beach will no longer allow campfires.
The move is a compromise with neighbors, who have complained about smoke drifting towards their homes.
The campsites impacted are the ones closest to the homes.
The nightly fees for those campsites will be raised, to help compensate for lost revenue.
Other moves by the board include establishing a set fee for Ojai Little League’s fields, and increasing the annual vendor permit fees for parks.
The changes go into effect April 1st.
