Storm System Bringing Rain To Central Coast, But Totals Expected To be Less Than 3/4″

Posted on Thursday, February 6, 2014 3:01pm

A low pressure system is bringing some rain to the Central Coast, but it’s not even a drop in the buck as far as the drought is concerned.

Rainfall totals are expected to be light, with between a quarter of an inch, and a half inch in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties, and up to three quarters of an inch in some mountain areas.

The storm system is expected to pass through the area by tomorrow morning.

Another storm system Saturday could mean some showers for San Luis Obispo County, but it’s not expected to have much impact on Santa Barbara County.
