There’s an uproar in one Ventura County community, as safety concerns are prompting a school district to close an elementary school campus in the next few weeks, and shifting the students, staff, and faculty to another school.
Some parents say they were blindsided by the decision to close Simi Elementary School, in Simi Valley.
But, district officials say recent inspections highlighted potential problems leading to the precautionary move.
