Governor Says California Is Rebounding In “State Of State” Speech; Avoids Hot Button Issues

California needs to take advantage of its improved financial situation, by paying down debt, and creating significant reserves.

That was one of the big messages of Governor Jerry Brown in his “State Of The State” address yesterday.

Political observers say the governor played it safe during an election year, avoiding controversial issues, and playing up the state’s successes.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco talks with a political analyst in Ventura County who examined the governor’s speech.
