A missing teddy bear mascot which got a lot of attention on the Central Coast has been found a bit scruffed up, but otherwise okay.
“Truffles” the bear disappeared from outside of the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Paso Robles sometime late Tuesday.
Since the store opened 11 years ago, the 40 inch high Kodiak bear would sit outside of the store during operating hours on a chair, as its mascot.
Some employees at a neighboring deli spotted the bear still strapped to its chair, which was also stolen, in some nearby bushes yesterday.
The candy shop gave the reward it had been offering to the deli workers.
It was a giant, ten pound candy bar.
