Burglary Suspect Arrested While Leaving Home Tented For Fumigation In Oxnard

Posted on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 10:17am

Police didn’t have to go far to find a burglary suspect in Oxnard.

They just had to be patient, and wait for him to come to them.

Officers were called to the 2400 block of Kentia Street just after 11 last night, by reports of someone burglarizing a home tented for fumigation.

They arrived to find a hole had been cut in the tent.

Police surrounded the house, and a few hours later, arrested Luis Francisco Hernandez of Oxnard as he tried to leave with a number of items from the home.

The 18 year old is being held for burglary.

There have been dozens of burglaries of homes tented for fumigation in Ventura County since the first of the year.
