Posted on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 3:35pm

A Ventura County university has received a $100,000 grant to study the potential neurological impacts of pesticide exposure on Oxnard residents.

California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks received a $100,000 grant from the California Wellness Foundation for a one year study.  A team of faculty members, and students will test things like concentration, memory, and information processing speed among a sample of Oxnard residents.  CLU researchers say the study is important because there is limited data on the effects of pesticide exposure on neurobehavioral performance in the state.
