San Luis Obispo County Woman Gets 11 Year Sentence For DUI Crash Which Killed One Bicyclist, And Seriously Injured Second

A San Luis Obispo County woman who struck two bicyclists while driving under the influence, killing one, has been sentenced to more than 11 years in prison.

Jessica Goddard had entered guilty pleas to charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while under the influence, and causing bodily injury while under the influence..

She struck the two cyclists on Highway 1 in Morro Bay on Labor Day.

Alan Stephens of Los Osos was killed, and Bradley Cummins was seriously injured.

The 29 year old Cayucos woman was formally sentenced today to 11 years, and eight months in prison.

She received a longer sentence because she had prior DUI related convictions.
