Posted on Saturday, October 5, 2013 4:20pm

Damage is now estimated at more than a million dollars, after a big rig headed southbound on the 101 Freeway in Ventura County careened out of control into an auto dealership, and crashed, causing a major fire.

The big rig hauling paper products ended up in the Carmax dealership right off the freeway, on the 2000 block of Lockwood Street in Oxnard.

Firefighters controlled the fire in a few minutes.  The only reported injury was to the truck’s driver.  16 vehicles were reported destroyed, or damaged.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
