Brush Fire Danger Expected To Increase Due To Weather In Ventura, Santa Barbara Counties

Posted on Thursday, October 3, 2013 2:55pm

It could be a long weekend for firefighters in the region.

They’re on alert because Santa Ana winds are in the forecast for the next few days.

There’s a Red Flag warning in effect tonight, through Sunday evening for Ventura, and Los Angeles Counties.

Santa Barbara County will have a fire weather watch go into effect tomorrow, through Sunday afternoon.

Humidity could drop into the single digits this weekend, and temperatures could be 5-15 degrees above average, as the result of the weather conditions.

The winds should ease, and temperatures are expected to cool as we move into next week.
