Drugs called Factor By Authorities In Death Of Cal Poly Student Who Died While Swimming In Ocean

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department officials say toxicology results show a college student who drowned in the ocean off  the county’s coastline was under the influence of multiple drugs when he died.

Stephan Wagner disappeared June 20th, when he was swimming in the ocean southeast of Morro Bay.

His body was found several days later.

An autopsy shows the 21 year old Cal Poly San Luis Obispo student drowned as a result of being under the influence of multiple drugs.

Officials say they included alcohol, marijuana, and a hallucinogenic drug called 2C-E.
