A controversial plan to guide the future development of a key street in a Central Coast community will be a big issue tonight.
The San Luis Obispo City Council is set to look at plans for Broad Street.
The council looked at the issue last spring, but failed to reach a consensus.
The proposal includes land use changes which would include business, and residential uses. However, some businesses owners are worried the changes might negatively affect the corridor between the downtown San Luis Obispo area, and the airport.
The latest version of the plan has been downsized, to include fewer new homes, and less than half of what was last proposed for new commercial development.
