Investigators are trying to determine if a woman arrested in the wake of a bank robbery attempt in San Luis Obispo is the serial bank robber who’s struck a half dozen times around the state.
A woman walked into the Golden 1 Credit union in San Luis Obispo around 5 p.m. Friday. A teller who became suspicious after the woman kept making small talk triggered an alarm. The woman fled, leading to a chase on Highway 101, and ended when she pulled over and surrendered in San Luis Obispo.
The name of the woman hasn’t been released.
Investigators think she may be the Central Coast Bandit, responsible for a half dozen bank robberies around the state.
