Police Arrest Man They Say Burglarized Same Ventura Store Two Nights In A Row

Posted on Monday, August 19, 2013 2:55pm

Police say he got away with it once, but when a man burglarized the same Ventura electronics store again less than 24 hours later, they caught him.

At around 11:30 Saturday night, someone saw a man break out the window of a store on the 100 block of West Main Street, in Ventura.  The man fled with a number of items.  The witness called police, but the burglar was gone by the time they arrived.

Then, Sunday night just after 9, another witness reported another break-in at the same store which had been burglarized Saturday night.  Police arrived to find the building was empty, but then spotted someone matching the suspect’s description a few blocks from the scene.

Eric Carrizales of Ventura was arrested after they found the 18 year old was in possession of some of the stolen items.  Investigators say they determined he was responsible for both burglaries, and charged him with two counts of commercial burglary.
