A woman is facing a theft charge after Ventura Police say she was caught selling envelopes of ride tickets at the Ventura County Fair.
Fair personnel told officers they saw Sanjuana Saucedo passing an envelope with ride tickets to someone for cash at the fair’s midway just after five last night. When the fair staff tried to detain her, they say she dumped several other envelopes full of fair tickets, and a cell phone in a trash bin.
The 36 year old Moorpark woman was held for selling fraudulent ride tickets. However, officers then discovered the tickets were real, but had been obtained in a fraudulent manner. They say Saucedo was selling them at the fair at below cost.
