Most Santa Maria Municipal Operations To Be Closed Friday As Part Of Cost Savings Effort

Posted on Monday, August 12, 2013 9:40am

Budget issues mean that Santa Maria’s City Hall, and Library will be closed this Friday.

The city adopted a budget plan which calls for all non emergency services offices to be shut down on ten normal workdays between March, and December.

Non-sworn employees are taking ten mandatory furlough days as a part of the effort to save money.

Friday is the sixth of the ten furlough days this year affecting the operation of city offices.
