Actress Amanda Bynes Held In Ventura County For Psychiatric Review Following Bizarre Incident

Posted on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 12:33pm

An actress who grew up in Ventura County is in a hospital for psychiatric review, after being taken into custody following an incident in Thousand Oaks.

Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies, and firefighters were called to a home on the 200 block of Avenida de los Arboles just before nine last night.

Someone had set a small fire in a driveway, which neighbors had already extinguished.

The deputies found Amanda Bynes at the scene, and after talking to her, decided she met the criteria for a mental evaluation hold.

It’s unclear what connection, if any she had with the scene.

Bynes starred in a number of TV series, and movies as a teen, and young adult.

However, in recent years, she’s had some minor run-ins with the law on both the East, and West Coasts, ranging from traffic accidents to a DUI incident.
